RABAT, Morocco -- Morocco's state news agency says 78 people were killed when a C-130 military transport plane crashed into a mountain amid rough weather. The MAP news agency says three people survived.

Nearly 80 people were killed on Tuesday morning when a Moroccan Royal Armed Forces C-130 Hercules transport aircraft crashed into a southern Morocco mountain during bad weather, state-run media reported. There were three survivors.

Seventy-eight people were killed, and three were seriously injured following a crash, on Tuesday, of a C-130 aircraft of the Royal Armed Forces northeast the southern city of Guelmim, the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) said in a statement.
